I know it’s almost March, but it’s never too late for a little love. A big beautiful thank you to my amazing 2011 clients! I traveled through 5 states to snap this year’s round up…and enjoyed every minute capturing these wonderful moments.
Wow…is it really November? Where has time gone? My grad season is finally winding down, so I’m jumping feet first into family holiday portraits. I’ve been so excited to share these pictures with you! These adorable kids live right down the street from us! How lucky am I? I met their mom shortly after we moved to Idaho, when she warmly welcomed us to the neighborhood with some freshly baked zucchini bread. She then advised me that I had the LARGEST spider she’d ever seen crawling on the front of our house! (Seriously still gives me the Heebie Jeebies.) Kris and I can’t wait to get to know this wonderful family better as we continue to settle into our new home and neighborhood. And as for Anthony, Julie, Lauren & Lucas…I can’t wait to watch you cuties grow!
I love shooting in my hometown! I traveled back to Fargo the last week of July for a wedding (which I will be posting soon), and was beyond thrilled that I was able to fit this family session in during my short stay. Fellow Spartans…you should recognize the Mama of this beautiful family! Molly and I played softball, soccer, volleyball and basketball together throughout Junior High and High School. And I must say, unlike me, she hasn’t aged a bit since 1996! Molly and her husband, Josh, have three of the most photogenic children I’ve ever worked with. (One of which I’m pretty sure is destined to be a Rock Star!)
During the session, we spent some time capturing photos with Lucy, Jasper and Oliver’s Grandma & Grandpa. Molly and her family will be moving away from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in September, so capturing their family together was at the top of the priority list. I can’t wait to get going on the rest of your pics, Gravholt family. Best of luck on your upcoming move to Washington D.C.!
I’m wrapping up my wonderful week of Fargo sessions. My very last shoot was with a little someone I’d waiting to meet for quite some time…Berit! Her mama is one of my very best friends. Jill and I met during elementary school and have maintained a very special friendship over the years. So, it was quite fitting that my last day in town was spent with her and her family. At just 4 months, Berit (which means “gorgeous” or “splendid” in Scandinavian) did such a wonderful job in front of the camera. She definitely has her mom’s smile! Berit’s papa did a fantastic job assisting with the shoot (Chris…your idea to use the Pak ‘N’ Play mat was ingenious!)….and Grandma Melicher went above and beyond to keep her new granddaugter entertained during the session. I also had the opportunity to snap a quick shot of Berit’s cousin, Gabe. I can’t believe how quickly this little man is growing up! Something tells me he’s going to be a heartbreaker. It was so great to see the entire Melicher clan again. Love ya, Jillers!
My busy week in Fargo continues…meet Connor! Connor’s session was scheduled in mid-February after his mom and dad learned they would be in town visiting from Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately, Spring weather can be a little unpredictable in Fargo. We were planning to do an outdoor shoot, however, I didn’t dare keep Connor outside in the 40 – 50mph winds. (I literally had visions of him blowing down University Drive like a little tumbleweed!) So we moved on to Plan B…an indoor shoot at the Children’s Museum at Yunker Farm! I would like to extend a BIG thank you to the staff at the facility for allowing us to shoot inside free-of-charge. And, I need to give major props to Nate, Jen and Grandma DeVine for keeping Connor thoroughly entertained during the session. So glad I finally got to meet this cute little bugger!
It’s late, but I promised my friend Anne that I would get some photos posted tonight of her two little cuties…Audrey and Lucy. We met up on Wednesday morning at Yunker Farm to capture some outdoor shots of the girls…then headed downtown for some colorful shots by my favorite new backdrop in Fargo. Audrey and Lucy were so, so good! (I still can’t get over how much they look like their pretty Mamma!) I’ll start things off with this first photo…because I think it perfectly sums up how much my friend loves motherhood.
FYI…I will be back in Fargo for another round of sessions June 27th through July 1st. I still have several openings available. Those interested in booking a session can call 208-546-2510 for details.
I’ve been in Fargo all week with a full line-up of shoots! It’s been the perfect way to kick-start my busy Spring and Summer photography season. When my friend Michelle contacted me on Monday to see if I could squeeze her boys in while I was in town…I jumped at the chance! The first time I photographed Chase and Ian, I fell in love with them. Now that they’re a little older, they’re personalities are really starting to emerge (as is evident by the following photos)! I had so much fun chasing these little guys around the alleys of downtown Fargo for their gangster-themed shoot! Can’t wait to catch up with these two little guys again at their uncle’s wedding this summer!
